Area Churches Offer Prayers for Wall Brothers' Death, 6 Year-Old's Fatal Gunshot

On the Third Sunday of Easter, parishes took a moment to include in their prayers two Wall brothers who died in a car accident and a 6 year-old boy who died of a gunshot.

At Saint Denis Church in Manasquan this Sunday, services progressed to the list of prayer offerings for the week, and included were the three recent fatalities.

"For the young victim of the recent shooting in Toms River, his family, and all who are affected by gunfire, that they may seek God's wisdom, strength and grace, Lord hear our prayer," 

The young victim was Brandon Holt, 6 year-old, who was accidentally shot by a 4 year-old neighbor this past week in Toms River.

The Saint Denis prayer offering continued, going on to pray for all those who have recently died, including the two Wall brothers, Michael and Stephan Dushnick, who died in a car accident this past week.

Saint Rose High School, where family members are alumni, also offered its condolences in a prepared statement: "Join us in prayer for the souls of Michael and Stephen '06 Dushnick, who were lost too soon. We also pray for their sister Kathleen '05, parents (Karen and Stephen) and their grandfather Frank Cummings '43. May God comfort all who grieve their loss."
