Thunderstorms are expected to grace the Jersey Shore on Friday and Saturday, with a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued for Ocean and Monmouth counties through Friday night. Throughout most of northern New Jersey and all of central and south, dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning is expected Friday, with some storms likely to produce small hail.

"Hot conditions could result in heat exhaustion with prolonged exposure" through Thursday of next week, the weather agency said. There is also a risk of rip currents over the weekend due to Thursday night's storm.
