Belmar Pro Surfing Competition Begins Thursday
The 10th annual competition gets a boost with surfing legend Tom Curren competing this weekend.

The Annual Foster’s Belmar Pro surfing competition comes to town this weekend, kicking off Thursday on the 16th Avenue beach.Â
The event runs through Sunday and features Junior, Pro, Women’s Pro and Masters Pro competitions, with surfers from throughout the country and around the world.
The Belmar Pro will also include parties and live musical performances at area bars each night from local and regional favorites.

For its 10th anniversary professional surfing legend Tom Curren, a three-time World Champion, will surf in this year’s competition, along with his sons Patrick and Frank, who will surf the Junior competition.
