Belmar's Zabilowicz Earns Collegiate Volleyball Honor
The Stockton University senior, the NJAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2015, is on a roll in 2016.

Red Bank Regional graduate Rebecka Zabilowicz, a senior at Stockton University, has been named New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week in volleyball, the university said.
Zabilowicz, of Belmar, is the reigning NJAC Defensive Player of the Year, the university said.
She earned the player of the week honors by recording 97 digs (6.06 dps) as Stockton won the Cortland Red Dragon Classic with a 4-0 record. Zabilowicz, a senior libero, had 31 digs in a five-set triumph over Fredonia and added 29, 25 and 12 digs in wins over Cortland, Lebanon Valley and Nazareth respectively, the university said. Zabilowicz also served five aces during the tournament.

Zabilowicz transitions the team from defense to offense with her outstanding passing and digging skills, the university said in a preseason report. She set a school record with 706 digs last season.
Stockton, which is playing in the New Paltz Hawks Invitational this weekend, is seeking its ninth straight NJAC championship this season.
