BRADLEY BEACH, NJ – The borough of Bradley Beach announced on Monday that the borough fireworks show scheduled for this Saturday, July 3, has been postponed.

Bradley Beach is the second Jersey Shore town to postpone its fireworks following Long Branch’s decision after thousands of people showed up to a social-media-fueled gathering on June 19.

According to Bradley Beach officials, the decision was made after the borough’s public safety team met with local and state law enforcement officials.

“We have made the decision that this postponement is in the best interest of our residents and seasonal visitors. We realize this is a big disappointment, but we hope to announce the future date shortly,” the borough said in its statement.

“We will continue to monitor intelligence reports in terms of crowd control and ensure decisions are in the best safety interests of our residents.”
