Island Beach State Park Beach Plum Festival Coming Up On Sunday

Hours for the popular event are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine

ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK, NJ -
On Sunday, come celebrate all things beach plum, when the annual Island Beach State Park Beach Plum Festival gets underway at free festival gets underway at 9 a.m. at several locations in the park.

The festival features beach plum picking, jelly-making demonstrations, arts and crafts show, food, entertainment, children's games, bird banding demonstrations, environmental and nonprofit exhibits and kayak rides. You can even sample some beach plum ice cream.

Although the festival is free, Friends of Island Beach State park members will be on hand if you want to make an $8 donation to help support the event, which is the group's main fundraiser of the year.
