Kathleen Marie Zimmer Of Manasquan Dies At 59

Kathleen Marie Zimmer, 59, of Manasquan passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 at home.

Kathleen was born in Point Pleasant, grew up in Wall and attended Wall High School. She started her career as a bank teller for Manasquan Savings Bank and worked her way up to becoming bank manager and then Vice President. It was there that she met her husband, Tom.

They married in 1979 and remained in Wall to raise their family. Kathleen later moved to First Financial Federal Credit Union in Wall where she was the director of business development.

Kathleen was an active member of LeTip business group, serving as past president, Spring Lake Chamber of Commerce and a dedicated member of the Atlantic Club. She was a three-time participant in the Avon 39-mile Walk To End Breast Cancer in New York City.

Kathleen loved to have fun and make friends wherever she went. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, Thomas W. Zimmer, Jr.; her three children, Andrew Zimmer and his wife Kimberly of Jefferson, NJ; Matthew Zimmer of Jefferson, NJ; and Lauren Bueler and her husband Richard, III of Bakersfield, CA; her brother, Stephen Klebold and his wife Jeanette; her sister, Patricia Zamito and her husband Kenneth; and her sister-in-law, Patricia Zimmer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many loving friends.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street, Manasquan, NJ. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Manasquan. Cremation will be private.
