Main Street Railroad Crossing Work To Begin In Manasquan

MANASQUAN – The borough has been advised that NJ Transit will be conducting upgrades at the Main Street railway crossing.

The work will cause Main Street to thru traffic and pedestrian traffic at the Main Street Rail crossing.

1. The project will run from Thursday, April 29 thru Friday, May 7, 2021 (8 days). NJT warrants that only bad weather would upset or lengthen this schedule.
2. Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic at the tracks 24/7 during the entire time period.
3. Main Street will be closed to pedestrian traffic at the tracks during all work hours.
4. NJT refers to the Sea Girt Rail Way Crossing at Sea Girt/Washington Avenues as an example of what the finished product will be. It should result in a much quieter truck and large vehicle crossing.
5. NJT will mark out the detour to Stockton Lake Boulevard.
