Hurricane Dorian passed well offshore to the Manasquan area, so the greatest threat will be rapidly building surf and dangerous rip currents through Sunday morning.
No coastal flooding issues or significant wind impacts are expected with Dorian’s passing, Manasquan officials said.

- Onshore winds peaking around 30 mph late tonight, subsiding early Saturday.
- Waves rapidly building this afternoon and exceeding 10 feet through Saturday, gradually subsiding to 3 feet early Sunday morning.
- High rip current risk today and Saturday
- No coastal flooding impacts are expected.The beaches will remain closed Friday and Saturday due to the dangerous water conditions.
