Manasquan Council Election Results In 2020
Manasquan has open seats on its council to fill.
MANASQUAN - The polls are closed, ballots are being tallied and soon Manasquan will know who will be representing the community on its borough council.
Republican Patricia Connolly will challenge two Democrats – Michael Mangan, the council president, and Councilman Jeffrey Lee – for two seats on the council.

Mangan said he believes his that his experience and passion for service "provide me with a unique perspective on how to best bring government resources to bear during times of need."
"Equally important, I am a firm believer in having the most transparent and efficient government possible – that means stability in the tax rate and fees," he said. "It also means that we are honest about the financial challenges in achieving the improvements for the community: parks and roads."

Connolly said she would use public referendum on any costly proposal, restrain from inflated expenditures that add to the debt responsibility and "use my financial education and years of business experience and governing body experience to build good government before politics."
Since the change to this year's election was announced by Gov. Phil Murphy because of the coronavirus, there have been many questions about how the process will work.
Every the ballot sent through the mail had to be postmarked by Nov. 3. It must be received by your county's election boards by 8 p.m. on Nov. 10.
"Every vote should be safe. Every vote should be secure. Every vote should be counted," Murphy said of the process.
