MANASQUAN, NJ – At Monday night’s council meeting, the Manasquan borough council introduced two bond ordinances.

The first ordinance was for $1.5 million for the reconstruction of First Avenue along the beachfront. This ordinance does include a New Jersey Department of Transportation grant for $305,000, so the borough would only be taking out $1.12 million in bonds.

The other ordinance is for $500,000 in bonds to purchase various equipment for the beach utility and beachfront, including security cameras, lifeguard equipment, a tractor with a surf rake, and water bottle filling stations.
