Marie T. Gallagher Of Manasquan/Wall Dies At 91
Services will be held on Wednesday in Manasquan.

Marie T. Gallagher of Manasquan/Wall passed away peacefully on Jan. 5 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick after a brief illness. She was 91.
She was born in Springfield, MA and moved to Freehold as a child. She lived in Wall all of her adult life, having moved there with her husband, Robert H. Gallagher, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage filled with laughter, happiness, and love before his passing in 2008. She is also predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Mahoney and her three siblings, Joseph, Rita and John.

She is survived by her five children; Richard Gallagher, James Gallagher, Patrick Gallagher, Kathi Homenick, Lynne Gallagher; her four beloved grandchildren: Katherine Gallagher, Megan Gallagher King, Christopher Gallagher Homenick, Kelly Marie Homenick; and many nieces and nephews.
Marie worked in several stores in Manasquan, most notably at Timm's. She was a longtime member of the Red Oak Woman's Club in Wall and a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Manasquan. She loved being with her family, hosting extended family picnics, parties and holiday events throughout her life. She was also an avid crafter and volunteer.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Neary Quinn Funeral Home in Manasquan on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2017. A Memorial Service will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Her ashes will be interred beside her husband in The St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Freehold at a later date.
