The remnants of a tropical storm will hit NJ this weekend, and some areas will get more than an inch of rain and 30-mph winds.

NEW JERSEY – A nasty storm is expected to impact New Jersey on Sunday, bringing heavy rain and strong winds – some as strong as 30 mph – to the region throughout the day. The storm is among the remnants of Tropical Storm Olga, the National Weather Service says, and forecast alerts are in effect.

The National Weather Service also issued a hazardous weather outlook for nearly the entire state, saying rain on Sunday may become heavy at times, resulting in localized flooding of roadways (see forecast below).

A coastal flood advisory is in effect in Central and South Jersey until 5 p.m. Sunday.
