Interim School Superintendent Renae LaPrete, of Wall, joined the Manasquan school board for her first meeting in the new role tonight.
LaPrete was not the only new face to the district at tonight's meeting.
Michael Forrester, of Spring Lake Heights, is the newest member of the school board, chosen by the county superintendent to fill Michelle LaSala's vacancy. He was sworn in to the seat tonight.
Board President Tom Bauer announced the board would be using a new attorney after the previous attorney R. Armen McComber agreed more time would be needed to serve the district.
"We parted on good terms," Bauer said.
Attorney Michael Gross -- of the Monmouth County firm Kenney, Gross, Kovats & Parton-- is the new board attorney.
