Now That The Election Was Certified, Here Are Manasquan Results
Two Democrats were re-elected.

MANASQUAN — The Monmouth County Board of Elections certified ballot counts this past week.
Two Democrats – Michael Mangan, the council president, and Councilman Jeffrey Lee – won a close election against Republican Patricia Connolly in the race for two seats on the council.
Here was the vote breakdown:

- Patricia Connolly 2,176 (31.55 percent)
- Michael W. Mangan 990 2,223 (32.24 percent)
- Jeffrey K. Lee 2,484 (36.02 percent)
"Congrats to Jeff, thanks to our opponent for a good race, and thanks for everyone who supported the campaign!" Mangan said on Facebook, adding: "I am as humbled today by the idea of being trusted with elected office as I was when I started this journey."
Before the election, Mangan said he believes his that his experience and passion for service "provide me with a unique perspective on how to best bring government resources to bear during times of need."

"Equally important, I am a firm believer in having the most transparent and efficient government possible – that means stability in the tax rate and fees," he said. "It also means that we are honest about the financial challenges in achieving the improvements for the community: parks and roads."
Connolly said she would use public referendum on any costly proposal, restrain from inflated expenditures that add to the debt responsibility and "use my financial education and years of business experience and governing body experience to build good government before politics."
