Chris, Mike and Troy are no strangers to fine Italian delicacies. Troy grew up around his grandfather’s food store in Westchester, Handy Stop, where he developed a passion for the food industry. Mike and Chris’ grandfather was an Italian immigrant who started up his own meat market in Staten Island and their father had gone on to open Angelo’s Superette, which operated for over 20 years also in Staten Island. The brothers had both worked there since they were 15 years old and had grown up in the same neighborhood as Anthony, Joseph and Jacqueline Ajello, who currently operate Pastosa store locations in Cranford and Florham Park, New Jersey as well as Pastosa’s flagship store and manufacturing center on New Utrecht Avenue in Brooklyn.
“We’re honored to be able to expand the Pastosa tradition of fine-quality products even further across New Jersey. I think our grandfather and father would be proud knowing that we are continuing to bring fine Italian specialties to dinner tables across Monmouth County,” said co-owner Mike Falato.
