MANASQUAN – Significant flooding is expected to hit the region this week.
Manasquan officials sent out an alert to residents warning about the possibility of significant flooding.
The flooding is expected to happen by Friday, officials say.

Heavy rain is expected to hit the area last this week. Here is the forecast:
- Tuesday: Showers likely, mainly after 4 p.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 56. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
