By Tuesday night, light snow will move through parts of New York and New England. New Jersey will see a snow and rain mix or just rain. The system is quick moving, and precipitation shouldn't last long, The Weather Channel said.
"There is the potential for a widespread 1 to 3 inches of snow with pockets of locally higher amounts from eastern Ohio to Pennsylvania, the mountains of West Virginia and New York state," according to the AccuWeather forecast.
As far as the storm timing: The National Weather Service expects a chance of rain and snow late Tuesday, then a slight chance of snow after 2 a.m. Wednesday morning. Overnight low temperatures will hover around 30 that night.
North and Central Jersey is expected to get the brunt of it after midnight, while the rest of the state is expected to get a mix:

The chance of precipitation is currently 50 to 60 percent, according to the National Weather Service. If the system does drop winter precipitation on the region, little accumulation is expected, the latest forecasts indicate.
