FOOTBALL: Manchester Falls To Barnegat

Quarterback Jerry Blackburn ran for a touchdown and passed for another, but Manchester was not able to hold off the Barnegat offense, falling 24-15 in the Shore Conference Class B South opener for both teams, according to the Shore Sports Network.
Blackburn hit Israel Almestica for a 30-yard touchdown in the third quarter and the two connected on a 2-point conversion, according to NJ.com, and then Blackburn added a 45-yard touchdown run late for the Hawks.
