Get A Dog Over The Holidays? Here's Manchester Licensing Info
If you added a canine companion to your family over the holidays, here's what you need to know about licensing your pet.
MANCHESTER, NJ — If you decided to welcome a dog into your home over the holiday season, you may be wondering about licensing requirements.
While many towns in the area and the state are holding their license renewals in January, in Manchester, dog licensing is done annually in June.
Here's what you need to know:

Licenses must be obtained for all dogs over 7 months old or having a full set of teeth.
Proof of spaying/neutering must be provided, as well as proof of rabies vaccination. The rabies vaccination must be good until May of the year the license expires.

Fees can be paid by check payable to Manchester Township.
The form to apply for a license is on the township's website.
LICENSE FEES:
- 1 year - not neutered or spayed $13
- 1 year - neutered or spayed $10
- 3 year - not neutered or spayed $36
- 3 year - neutered or spayed $27
Licenses can be purchased in person at the township municipal building at 1 Colonial Dr., Manchester. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
License renewals obtained after June 30 face a $5 late fee. The late fee does not apply to people seeking dog licenses for a new dog or to people who are new residents of Manchester.
