House Cleaner Accused In Jewelry Thefts From Manchester Seniors
A yearlong investigation led police to charging a Wrightstown woman in four thefts. Police say there may be other victims.

MANCHESTER, NJ — A cleaning woman who worked for a Toms River company is accused of stealing jewelry from several elderly residents while she was cleaning their homes, Manchester Township police said Thursday.
Linda Kreig, 38, of Wrightstown, was charged Tuesday with multiple counts of theft after a yearlong investigation, Manchester Capt. Todd Malland said.
From May 2019 to December 2019, Manchester police took reports from several homes where the victims reported their jewelry had been stolen by the house cleaner, he said.

Detective Joseph Fastige investigated and identified Kreig as the house cleaner, Malland said. She has been charged with four counts of third-degree theft, he said.
Manchester police believe there may be other victims. Anyone who had Kreig clean their home and believes they may have been the victim of a theft is asked to call Fastige at 732-657-2009, ext. 4208.

Manchester patrol officers, Barnegat Township police and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s office assisted in the investigation, Malland said.
