Jerold V. Hart, Sr., 78, Of Howell, Worked For Manchester Public Works

Owned Jerry's Mobil in Spring Lake Heights

Jerold V. Hart, Sr., 78, of Howell, passed away peacefully on Dec. 20, 2014 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Neptune, he was a longtime resident of Brick, before moving to Howell 15 years ago, according to his obituary on the O’Brien Funeral Home website. Jerry was a mechanic who owned and operated Jerry’s Mobil in Spring Lake Heights for many years, before taking his skills to work for Manchester Public Works. He was an avid die cast model car enthusiast who enjoyed World War II history, playing golf, and spending quality time with his cherished family.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Underwood Hart and son-in-law Thomas Lane.
Surviving are his wife Carmen Laroy Hart, his children, Jerry, Jr. and partner Merri, Patti Evan and husband Rich, Bonnie Lane, Michael Hart and wife Ann, and Randy Hart and wife Diane, his dear sister Janet Cittadino, and his beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, Stephanie (Joseph), Courtney, Becca, Alyssa, Tori, and Jaclyn.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Private interment will take place at Monmouth Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jerry’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
