Manchester Council Meeting: Here's How To Participate
The Manchester Township Council is meeting virtually Monday. The agenda includes a proposed ordinance for permits on charity clothing bins.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Monday, with the meeting held virtually because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The council meeting will be held via Zoom. Residents who want to participate can click here to watch the meeting. The agenda includes the introduction of an ordinance that would create temporary zoning permits for construction site trailers and for charity collection bins for clothing.

The proposed ordinance would create a one-year permit that could be renewed, and set limits on where the bins are placed, their appearance and require certification of IRS 501(c)(3) charitable status. The process also would allow the township's zoning officer to issue a permit without the organization having to go before the Planning Board.
