Manchester Council Weighing Retail Cannabis Ban
The town council has two meetings set this week, including a special session Tuesday, and several important issues on the agendas.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Council is set to introduce an ordinance Monday night to ban the retail sale of cannabis within the township.
The proposed ordinance is part of a busy agenda on Monday that also includes a proposed $210,000 bond ordinance to pay for body-worn cameras for the police department and the sale of some undersized township-owned lots.
In addition, the council has a special meeting scheduled for Tuesday to discuss the township's energy aggregation supplier and whether to award a new contract.
