Manchester Eagle Scout Honored For School Signs

Signs that direct families to the various fields at the high school have been installed thanks to Thomas Gillman.

MANCHESTER, NJ — If you pull into Manchester Township High School looking for a sporting event, you'll see signs directing you to different parts of the school grounds so you can find your way with a minimum of fuss.

And you have Thomas Gillman to thank for that.

The Manchester Township High School student was recognized for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout at the June 13 meeting of the Manchester Townhip Board of Education.

For his project, Gillman, who is a senior graduating on Friday, created signs for the fields so families would know where to go to view an event, the district said in a news release.

Superintendent David Trethaway and board members congratulated him on achieving this prestigious award, the highest honor in Boy Scouts.
