There will be two showings of the classic Bing Crosby movie.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Each holiday season in December there are family traditions that are observed and eagerly anticipated, including pointing foil-wrapped rabbit ears toward the WOR and WPIX television stations for free Christmas entertainment.

Ocean County Library’s Manchester branch, 21 Colonial Dr., will screen the 1954 movie, “White Christmas” and you’re invited to attend.

Two Army buddies travel to Vermont to help their former World War II commander who is facing dire financial straits as he is about to lose his shirt and the country inn he sank all his money into. The story is a mixed tale of loyalty, romance and music by Irving Berlin that has since joined the canon of holiday classics.
