MANCHESTER, NJ — A Manchester man has been charged with burglary in connection with the theft of about $3,000 worth of tools from a Manchester home over the weekend, police said.
Ronald E. Marcinczyk, 42, was arrested Monday, Manchester Lt. Vincent Manco said.
A homeowner on Beckerville Road told Patrolman Robert Maccaquano that someone had broken into his home and vehicle over the weekend and taken about $3,000 worth of tools, Manco said.

As Maccaquano investigated, witnesses told him they heard what sounded like a small motorized bike during the time when the burglary happened. That description reminded Maccaquano of a past burglary that involved a small motorized bicycle and led him to question Marcinczyk, Manco said.
With assistance from the Manchester Township Police Department’s Investigation Bureau, Maccaquano found Marcinczyk at his home on Ironside Drive, and police recovered the items stolen from the Beckerville Road home. Marcinczyk was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary and one count of theft and is being held at the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
