Manchester Man Indicted In Gunshots Fired At Monmouth County Home

FREEHOLD, NJ — A Manchester Township man has been indicted in connection with a shooting at a Marlboro home in 2020, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said Friday.
Joseph M. Galli, 27, of Whiting, was indicted on one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, one count of second-degree possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose and one count of second-degree certain persons not to possess a weapon, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey said.
Marlboro police received a report of gunshots at 3:37 a.m. on April 7, 2020, in the area of Dutch Lane near Moore Road, Linskey said. Investigators found someone had fired a weapon multiple times, leaving bullets in a vehicle and home at 59 Dutch Lane Road, she said.

Investigators determined the discharged weapon belonged to Galli, though he had no connection to the residents of the home, Linskey said. He was arrested July 15, 2020, at his job in Burlington County.
If convicted of any of the firearms offenses, Galli faces a sentence of 10 to 20 years in state prison, subject to a mandatory five years of parole ineligibility.
