Manchester Offers Free Rabies Shot Clinic
The clinic is scheduled for June, timed to the renewal of dog licenses in the township.
MANCHESTER, NJ — If you have a cat or dog that needs an updated rabies vaccination, Manchester Township will be holding a free rabies clinic in June.
The clinic comes as the township's annual dog licensing period begins in June.
The rabies vaccine clinic will be held at two sites on June 5. Residents can bring their pets to the Ridgeway Firehouse on Route 571 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., or to the Manchester Township Public Works garage on Route 70 in Whiting (just a short distance west of Route 530) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Cats will be vaccinated during the first 30 minutes at each location. Cats must be one per carrier, and dogs must be on a leash. Social distancing and masks are required.
If your pet has been vaccinated before, bring proof of a current vaccination to the rabies clinic so a three-year certificate can be issued. If proof is not provided, the certificate will be issued for one year only.

Dog owners need to provide proof of rabies vaccination good through May 2022 to license their dogs for one year in Manchester. A three-year license is available; the rabies vaccination must be current through May 2024.
You can license your dog online beginning June 1, click here. The fees are as follows:
1 year - not neutered or spayed, $13
1 year - neutered or spayed, $10
3 year - not neutered or spayed, $36
3 year - neutered or spayed, $27
The township council agreed to waive a late fee on licensing for 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemc.
