Manchester Pair Sign To Continue Soccer Careers In College

Anissia Fucci and Anisa Giaccone are members of the Manchester Township Class of 2016.

MANCHESTER, NJ -- Two members of the Manchester Township High School girls soccer team will be continuing their soccer careers in college, the school district announced.

Anissia Fucci signed with Georgian Court University in nearby Lakewood, and Anisa Giaccone signed to play for Erskine College in South Carolina. Both are NCAA Division II programs.

Fucci, a senior center midfielder, is a four-year letter winner for the Hawks and was the team’s MVP as a sophomore and junior. Fucci was sidelined for most of her senior season with a torn ACL but is third all-time in career goals scored (35), career assists (24) and career total points (91) for Manchester. Fucci also is a four-year varsity letter-winner in basketball and lacrosse at Manchester and has been named MVP in each sport.

Giaccone, a senior defender, is a three-year varsity starter for the Hawks. She scored 10 goals, had 11 assists and helped the program to record 24 shutouts in the last three years.
