Manchester Schools Presenting Martin Luther King Jr. Tribute

The virtual tribute was created to replace the annual Gospel Chorus performance, which was canceled in January due to the pandemic.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Schools will present a virtual tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. on Friday.

The tribute normally is held in January around Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the federal holiday honoring the civil rights leader.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2021 tribute and performance by the Manchester Schools Combined Gospel Chorus was canceled.

The multimedia presentation, set for 7 p.m. Friday, will be broadcast on the district's YouTube channel.

The tribute will feature content from prior celebrations and material submitted by the public.
