Brick Schools Urge Caution As Officials Eye 5 Days In Person

Students in preschool through fifth grade will be eligible to move to five days a week of in-person instruction soon, officials said.

BRICK, NJ — Students in the Brick Public Schools' youngest classes will be able to move to five days a week of in-person instruction beginning April 12, the district announced.

The move, "Phase 3" in the return to in-person instruction, will be five days a week with early dismissal.

Parents will be able to notify the district via Parent Portal about their decision for whether students will attend five days a week or continue with hybrid or fully virtual instruction, officials said.

"After monitoring Phase 3 with the elementary students, it is our hope that middle schools and High Schools will begin Phase 3 a few weeks later," Superintendent Thomas Farrell said.

He reminded parents to continue to be diligent with practicing CDC-recommended protocols.
