Manchester Schools Virtual, Board Meeting Postponed Amid Storm

Snow has started to fall in Manchester, and the district announced its plans for Thursday.

MANCHESTER, NJ — All students and staff in the Manchester Township School District will have fully remote instruction on Thursday as a nor'easter began to move through the state.

In addition, the Manchester Township Board of Education meeting scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed, district officials said.

Snow was lightly falling Wednesday afternoon and sticking to the grass and colder surfaces, residents told Patch.

Manchester is at the far edge of the lowest snow totals; the National Weather Service was predicting about an inch of snow for Toms River, parts of Brick and towns south of Toms River.

Manchester school officials said the remote learning includes Regional Day School, all kindergarten, preschool and special education students, along with vocational school students.

There will be meal pick-up available from 9 a.m. to noon at the high school and the middle school.
