Narcan Training Available In April
Training sessions teach how to administer the overdose antidote; free Narcan kits will be available.

If you know someone who is using heroin or prescription opiod pain killers and are concerned they are headed for an overdose, there are free Narcan training sessions available this month in Ocean County.
Ocean Mental Health Services is offering the free training sessions, which include information about what Narcan can and cannot do, as well as demonstrations on how to administer it to someone who has overdosed.
Pre-registration is required and can be done by calling Caitlin Simpson at 732-349-1977 ext. 174.

There will be free Narcan kits available at the training sessions, which will be held at Ocean Mental Health Service, 160 Atlantic City Boulevard (Route 9, near Blackbeard's Cave) in Bayville, run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the following dates:
- Monday, April 4
- Monday, April 18
- Monday, May 2
- Monday, May 16
Additional training dates will be offered throughout Ocean County. Training is offered through the partnership of Urban Treatment Associates and Ocean Mental Health Services.
