NJ Weather: Winter Storm Watch At Jersey Shore
A winter storm watch is now in place at the Jersey Shore as a winter storm is expected to hit the area. Find out what that means.
A winter storm watch is in effect at the Jersey Shore now that a low-pressure system could produce 4 to 6 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service issued the warning for the Thursday storm that covers Monmouth, Ocean, eastern Burlington, Atlantic and Cape May counties. Much of the snow is expected to start falling after 1 a.m.

The National Weather Service says to plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Thursday.
Strong winds exceeding 20 mph may result in considerable blowing and drifting snow. Significant reductions in visibility are possible, according to the National Weather Service.
