No Donuts Here: Manchester PD To Host Fitness Challenge
The event will pit four-member teams against each other for a variety of challenges.

Police officers from around the area are invited to come and show why the stereotype about police and donuts is outdated at the inaugural Law Enforcement Fitness Challenge.
The event, being hosted by the Manchester Township Police Department, is a team competition, and will raise money for Ocean of Love, the Ocean County nonprofit organization that assist children with cancer and their families. Some of the proceeds will go to the nonprofit Manchester Township Police Fund, according to a news release on the event.
The competition is scheduled for June 24 at Harry Wright Lake, 1499 Lake Road, Whiting, and will involve four-person teams completing grueling physical exercises for a chance to win the title of “Fittest Police Department,” as well as a variety of prizes. Eachteam will compete in the team vehicle pull, team tire flip, fence climbs, rope climbs, barrel roll, team member carry, farmers carry, clean and press, individual tire flip, pole flip/carry, 200-yard swim, and a 4-mile trail run, among other surprise events.

The entry fee is $200, and registration must be received prior to June 1. The event is open to all sworn law enforcement officers and slots will be filled on a first come, first-served basis. Checks should be made payable to the Manchester Township Police Fund, Inc.
