Ocean County Warns Of Dangerously Low Temps Overnight
Ocean County has declared a Code Blue warning starting Tuesday night as temperatures are forecast to be dangerously low.
MANCHESTER, NJ – Ocean County has declared a Code Blue warning starting Tuesday night as temperatures are forecast to be dangerously low.
According to the Ocean County Office of Emergency Management, the warning will last until 8 a.m. Thursday.
During an extreme weather event, the county follows its Code Blue plan, which includes releasing information about the available of weather-related services such as warming centers.

The following are verified overnight warming centers that will be open from Tuesday night through Thursday morning.
- Riverwood Park Recreation, Riverwood Dr., Toms River
- Open Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
- Alive Again Alliance Church, 1060 Church Rd., Toms River
- Open Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 7:45 a.m.
Guests will go first to Riverwood Park Recreation for intake and a meal, then will be transported to Alive Again Alliance Church for overnight sleeping arrangements, if needed due to capacity limits at Riverwood.
