Rally To Oppose Trump Supreme Court Nominee on Sunday, August 26
Jersey Shore protest is part of a nationwide effort

Manchester area residents who oppose the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh by President Donald Trump for the Supreme Court will rally in downtown Toms River later this month to show their opposition.
The rally, called "Unite For Justice," is part of a national series of rallies scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 26, and one of three scheduled in New Jersey that day. The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to begin confirmation hearings on the controversial Brett Kavanaugh on Sept. 4.
The peaceful protest rally will be held at 10 a.m. in the courtyard at the Ocean County Library next to Toms River Town Hall on Washington Street. Robyn Gedrich of Brick will host the Shore gathering, which may include other political and elected officials.

Those who oppose Kavanaugh say he will rule against health care, the environment, reproductive freedom,
voting rights, workers' rights, LGBTQ rights, presidential immunity and immigrant rights. They are calling on U.S. senators to block the appointment.
The other New Jersey rallies on August 26 will be in Marlton and Westfield. For more information, click here.
