We need to stop being a divided nation and unite before we fall apart competely. Doing that will involve compromise, so I propose a timely compromise on the argument over how best to keep our students safe in our public schools: I will agree to arm every teacher and train them how to use the weapons the same way we train police, if you will agree that every police officer must earn a Bachelor's degree in Education. It's a win-win: deadlier teachers, smarter cops.
