Civil Air Patrol National Command Chief Visits Local CAP Squadron
Civil Air Patrol National Command Chief, Chief Master Sgt. Robert Dandridge, visits Raritan Valley Composite Squadron Virtually

In early June, Raritan Valley Composite Squadron, the local Civil Air Patrol Squadron meeting At Central Jersey Regional Airport in Manville, was visited by was Chief Master Sgt. Robert Dandridge, the CAP National Command Chief during its weekly virtual meeting. The meeting which was led by Cadet Commander, Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Mary Moor and Squadron Commander, Major Jim Menoutis, was attended by 50 of the squadron's cadets and a senior members.
During his talk, Chief Master Sgt. Bob Dandridge inspired the cadets by relating how he first became involved with CAP, how his career progressed through CAP, and how his experiences led him to his present position at Civil Air Patrol National Headquarters. He ended his visit by thanking Raritan Valley Composite Squadron for inviting him, and saying that the National Vice Commander, Brigadier General Phelka, would soon pay a visit to the squadron also.

Raritan Valley Composite Squadron, is one of the largest squadrons in the Civil Air Patrol New Jersey Wing. Located at Central Jersey Regional Airport, it has 125 members, divided between 77 Cadets (12-18 years) and 48 Senior Members. Cadets and officers from the squadron participate in CAP activities such as Search & Rescue missions and exercises, disaster relief efforts, STEM outreaches to local community groups and schools, Coast Guard and Air force intercept training missions, Robotics, Cyberpatriot and StellerXplorers Competitions, Wing Encampment, Drone training, and powered and glider orientation flights. In addition, RVCS participates in the annual John Basilone Parade, Wreaths Across America wreath placement rites on veterans’ graves, assists at the New Jersey Balloon Festival, and supports numerous other community events.
