How Much Is The Average Manville Property Tax Bill?

Manville's taxes have gone up recently, here's how much:

MANVILLE, NJ — Manville Borough residents pay a lot in property taxes and more often than not, they increase annually.

The average Manville resident's property tax bill went up from 2017 to 2018, data released this week by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs shows.

The average Manville homeowner paid $7,501 in 2018, a 1.76 percent increase from 2017. The average bill was 336th highest in New Jersey.

In Somerset County, Bernardsville had the highest average tax bill of $15,362 and Hillsborough had the highest increase with 3.21 percent. While Bedminster had the lowest average tax bill of $6,182 and the lowest decrease of -2.04 percent.

Between 2017 and 2018, the average homeowner's tax bill rose to $8,767, an increase of $77, less than 1 percent, which was an improvement over the 2016 hike of 2.3 percent. It was lower than the 2 percent cap former Gov. Chris Christie put into effect in 2011, according to the analysis.
