Man Fatally Hit By Train In Manville

Manville Police are investigating after a man was reportedly hit and killed by a train on Thursday night.

MANVILLE, NJ — A man was reportedly hit and killed by a train in Manville on Thursday night, Police Chief Mark Peltack said Friday.

On April 11 at around 8:51 p.m. a Northfolk Southern train was traveling west near South Main Street when it fatally struck the pedestrian, Peltack said.

Manville Police are investigating the incident.

The identity of the pedestrian will be released once his family is notified.

Northfolk Southern could not be immediately reached for comment by Patch.
