Manville Among Best High Schools In NJ
New Jersey Monthly has released a new ranking of the best public high schools in New Jersey.

MANVILLE, NJ — Manville High School has been ranked among the best high schools in the Garden State by New Jersey Monthly magazine.
Manville came in as the 241st best high school in New Jersey.
Manville has a student-to-faculty ratio of 12:1 and 6 Advanced Placement subjects offered. A total of 21.5 percent of 11th- and 12th-graders are taking at least one Advanced Placement class. A total of 16 percent took an Advanced Placement exam scored at least a three on the test.

The vast majority of students, 59 and 78 percent, score at least 530 and 480 on the math and reading and writing sections of the SAT, respectively.
To arrive at the rankings, NJ Monthly looked at the state Department of Education's most recent New Jersey School Performance Reports. Only public high schools were included in the rankings. (You can read more about the methodology here.)

New Jersey Monthly also published graduation rates and the percentages of students enrolled in college 16 months after high school.
Topping the list was McNair in Jersey City, a magnet school. After that, you'll see a mix of schools that haven't always appeared at the top of these lists (Ramapo, Haddonfield, and West Morris Central).
