Manville High School Increases Security After Threat
The Manville Police Department investigated the threat with the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office and found it not credible.

MANVILLE, NJ — A potential threat to the safety of Manville High School students has caused the school administration to increase security on Tuesday.
After receiving the threat on Monday afternoon, school administration contacted the Manville Police Department who began an investigation with the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
"The rumored threat was not deemed credible by both agencies. Nevertheless, there will be an increased law enforcement presence at our school," Superintendent Robert Beers said in a letter to parents.

Beers thanks the students, staff, and concerned citizens for notifying authorities in order to swiftly address the issue.
"The Manville School District places the safety and security of our students as our highest priority and we applaud the community in supporting the safety of our students," Beers said.
