Manville Hosts 89th Reorganization Meeting
Councilmen Stephen H. Szabo and Joseph A. Lukac III were sworn in and awards were given to Bree Gildea, Nan Peterson and Andrea Bierwirth.
MANVILLE, NJ — Manville's 89th Annual Reorganization meeting for the Borough was held on Saturday.
Councilmen Stephen H. Szabo and Joseph A. Lukac, III were sworn in by Manville Borough Mayor Richard Onderko to a three-year term.
Szabo a long term Manville resident was sworn into his 5th term on the council. He has additionally held the roll of council president for the past two years. Szabo is a retired lab technician from American Cyanamid and currently works for Walgreens.

Lukac III, a lifelong resident of the Borough, was sworn in for his first term. Lukac resides with his wife Sharon and three children: Paige, Timothy and Skylar. He is an electrical and instrument supervisor for JJ Lighting.
Mayor Onderko also presented the Community Recognition Awards for 2017. The first award he presented was the Community Spirit Award to Bree Gildea, who started the “Manville Rocks” movement last summer.

The mayor then presented library director Nan Peterson and Manville borough Administrator Andrea Bierwirth with the Extra Effort Award for their hard work and dedication to the Wreaths Across America event that took place in Manville on Dec. 13.
