Manville Mayor: Onderko Beats Petrone, Unofficial Results Say

Chec out all of the unofficial results for Manville's contested mayor, council and school board races.

It appears Republicans won out in Manville as incumbent Richard M. Onderko edged out Democrat challenger Philip E. Petrone, according to unofficial results reported by Somerset County.

MANVILLE, NJ — It appears Republicans won out in Manville as incumbent Richard M. Onderko beat Democrat challenger Philip E. Petrone, according to unofficial results reported by Somerset County.

"The voters have chosen Manville First! Congratulations to Rich, Ted and Suzanne. We want to thank our amazing team, our families, and every person who supported us in any way. Let’s get to work!" Manville Republican Committee said.

All of Manville's polling districts have reported as of 10:30 p.m. The final count on Mail in Ballots will be provided by the County Clerk Office on Nov. 12.

It was a contested mayoral race with Onderko and Petrone vying for the top spot.

  • RICHARD M. ONDERKO - 1,316
  • PHILIP E. PETRONE - 676

The council race was also contested with four candidates running for two open three-year township committee seat. Borough Council candidates Republicans Ted Petrock III and Suzanne Maeder edged out Democrats Roberta G. Walters and incumbent Ronald Skirkanish.

MANVILLE COUNCIL ELECTION RESULTS (2-SEATS):

  • SUZANNE MARDER - 1,238
  • TED PETROCK III - 1,200
  • ROBERTA G. WALTERS - 740
  • RONALD SKIRKANISH - 730

The school board also had a contested race with five candidates vying for the three open three-year seats including Josephine T. Pschar, Kristen Gall, Sharon Lukac, Kelly Harabin, Jennifer Esposito.

  • JOSEPHINE T. PSCHAR - 802
  • SHARON LUKAC - 778
  • KELLY HARABIN - 717
  • JENNIFER ESPOSITO - 686
  • KRISTEN GALL - 671
