Dear Manville Community,

We hope this letter finds you all well and in good health for the holiday season!

The Manville School District is pleased to announce the awarding of the full day Preschool Expansion Aid Grant through the New Jersey Department of Education. This highly competitive grant allows us to transition our existing half-day, tuition-based, preschool classrooms to a full-day, fully funded program. Additionally, we will be expanding from three preschool classrooms to six, full-day classrooms. The additional classrooms will be located at our partner location, HOPES Community Action Partnership, Incorporated (HOPES CAP, Inc. 113 Belmont Dr, Somerset, NJ 08873 ). Together with HOPES, we will be able to provide our community with free, full-day preschool for up to 95 students starting February 1, 2021.

Our preschool program is open to residents of the Manville community who are between the ages of three and four. Prospective students must have turned three years old prior to October 1, 2020. This program will provide a safe and nurturing learning environment focusing on social, motor, language, and early academic skills.

As we begin preparations for our additional classrooms and students, we would like to invite interested families to join us for one of the following informational sessions:

As we anticipate high interest in our program, a public lottery drawing will be held to determine student acceptance at the end of the January 19th Board of Education meeting.
