Nominate Your Pet For Manville's Pet Of The Week

MANVILLE, NJ — Meet Mackenzie! She has been chosen as Patch's Pet Of The Week. Nominate your pet for Manville's Pet of the Week and winners receive a free bag of pet food from Amwell Pet Supply.

"This is Mackenzie, a common goldfish who is now 7 years old. Mackenzie belongs to Gretchen, an 8th grader in town. She got Mackenzie when she was only in first grade. Mackenzie has outgrown two tanks already and we hope her current aquarium continues to be enough space for her.

She is a very friendly goldfish who wiggles her body when she's hungry. Mackenzie lived through Super Storm Sandy when she had to be relocated to grandma's for the week so she wouldn't freeze with the power outage! She also got an aquarium stone stuck in her mouth once; we had to hold her and remove it with tweezers. After all that, she still in the prettiest goldfish in town!"

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com with subject line "Manville Pet Of The Week." Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the town you're from.

You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today. All photos must be property of the submitter.
