Nominate Your Pet For Manville's Pet Of The Week

MANVILLE, NJ — Meet Izzy! She has been chosen as Patch's Pet Of The Week. Nominate your pet for Manville's Pet of the Week and winners receive a free bag of pet food from Amwell Pet Supply.

"My dog's name is Izzy, short for Izabel Yang Stevens (named after characters in Grey's Anatomy). She is a three-legged dog, a tripawd, who was rescued from North Carolina after losing her back leg at 4 months old. She is a Pitbull/Boxer/Miniature Pinscher mix who is so incredibly grateful to be alive.

Her favorite thing to do is cuddle up on her moms lap, go swimming, and play with her doggy friends. She gets along with all animals and people of all ages. She especially loves children! She is now 19 months old and continues to thrive everyday, even though her back leg is completely amputated.

She is incredibly resilient and doesn’t let her disability stop her, she’s very much handi-capable! She gives me strength everyday as my emotional support animal and I’m so lucky to be her momma."

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com with subject line "Manville Pet Of The Week." Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the town you're from.

You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today. All photos must be property of the submitter.
