Pedestrian Hit By Car While In Manville Crosswalk: Police

The 25-year-old Manville resident was hospitalized following the crash, Manville Police said.

MANVILLE, NJ — A borough resident was sent to the hospital after being hit by a car while crossing the street in a crosswalk on Thursday night, Manville Police Chief Mark Peltack said.

The 25-year-old Manville resident was outside of the QuickChek crossing Main Street walking in the crosswalk from west to east when he was hit by a vehicle, Peltack said.

The vehicle was making a left turn onto North Main Street from Brooks Boulevard, Peltack said.

The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital and later released.

The crash remains under investigation. No summonses were issued at this time.
